New Project – Blue In Focus

Green Heart Films is about to begin a two year project on the coastal regions of E.Africa, and will be visiting Mozambique, Tanzania, Kenya and the southern coast of Somalia within the region of Kisimayo.

The documentary will be filming the impact of human activity on the oceans bio-diversity and the decline of fish stocks and coral reefs.

The first visit will focus on coral reefs and whale sharks near the island of Mafia, after which we will be looking at the marine resources of Mozambique, then the coastal regions of Kenya and southern Somalia.

Green Heart Films will be filming and interviewing local fishing communities to learn more about declining fish stocks, the increase of illegal fishing methods and the encroachment of foreign commercial trawlers along Africas eastern seaboard.

After E.Africa we will also be visiting Malaysia and Indonesia, plus other locations such as the Maldives.

The new project will be entitled “Blue In Focus”.

African Diaries in Focus

Green Heart Films 2015.

 

 

GHF has spent over a year filming in Kenya, Somaliland and Mozambique on the subject of the charcoal trade. The documentary named “Conflict & Wildlife” is now completed.
In March 2015, GHF visited Sierra Leone to document the Ebola crisis and created a documentary entitled “Africa’s Troubled Heart”, a film that follows the origins of the Ebola crisis, discovered deep within the Equatorial forests of the Congo Basin at the very heart of Africa – the documentary is now complete.
We are now focused on our next educational adventure a documentary entitled “Blue In Focus”.
